53 North Bar Without (Arden House), Beverley, HU17 7AG

Arden House is a symmetrically proportioned early Victorian town house and a Grade II listed building. It has two storeys in brick, rough rendered to front, with a slate roof and dentil eaves cornice. There are stone coped gable ends and rusticated rendered quoins; three windows, hung sashes with glazing bars over two.

In the centre of the street front, a grooved doorway with 'Adam' ornament to frieze, dentil cornice and ornamental rectangular fanlight.

The garden of Arden House welcomes you in from the street through a wide gateway on to the terrace, with outbuildings and a lovely wooden greenhouse. There are established borders with woodland planting under a canopy of mature trees. The lawn will have croquet laid out and ready to play.
