Spanish Flu in Hull 1918 - 1919

- Speaker Pete Lowden

15 Whitefriargate, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU1 2ER

The Spanish Flu was arguably one of the worst pandemics that the world has ever seen. Just over a century ago more people lost their lives to this virus than the entire war deaths of both First and Second World Wars combined.

This harvest of death took place in just one year throughout the world, from the trenches of the Western Front to the Pacific Islands of Samoa from Australia to Zanzibar and from New York, Paris, London, Rome .....and Hull.
