HETA - 'Spark your inner engineer' - Dansom Lane South - Hull - HU8 7LA

Training Association (HETA) is throwing open the doors to its new state-of-the-art facility. What’s more, visitors will be treated to a truly fascinating insight into the world of engineering.

This is a chance to see inside HETA’s Advanced If all things engineering sparks your interest, then Humberside Engineering Engineering Centre in Hull. The centre was opened in 2018 to both celebrate the company’s’ rich heritage as aleader in the engineering and manufacturing industries, but also ensures its longevity for many years to come.

The £4.2m 34,000sqft development on Dansom Lane has regenerated and repurposed existing factory buildings to create an impressive 15,000sqft industry-standard workshop space that visitors can see in action. There is also a range of training rigs, high-tech electronics and IT labs, as well as social and recreation areas.

Visitors will be able to experience first-hand how the advanced technology and facilities are equipping the next generation of talented engineers. They will also hear about their ambitions and how their skills will be vital to the future economic development of the Humber region, the UK and beyond.

Furthermore, visitors will be able to see the HETA-sponsored moth from the 2016 Amy Johnson Festival, entitled ‘Amy Did It’, which celebrated the life of the Hull-born aviator and engineer.

HETA has come a long way from its humble beginning in an old workshop close to Hull’s fish docks, to the impressive facilities it occupies now. For anyone who wants to experience a real success story then this is a tour not to be missed. Ex-HETA apprentices are particularly welcome to come and share their experiences.
