Wenlock Barracks was opened in 1911 as the HQ for 2nd Northumbrian Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. In 1914 recruitment started in the Barracks for the 10th Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment 'The Commercials' The Hull Pals.
Since 1967 it has been home to the Army Reserve Royal Army Medical Corps currently 250 Medical Squadron, 254 Medical Regiment. The Hull Armed Forces Career Office also shares the site.
